It's so strange how you can live in one place for so long yet never really see and experience it. This past weekend, an old friend flew in from Calgary to see my side of Canada, and I took it as the perfect opportunity to see it myself! Last weekend I was a tourist in my own city; here are some snippets of my weekend staycation.

Niagara: Booze, Brit Brunch, & Bodies of Water

Inniskillin Winery
Angel Inn, Niagara-on-the-Lake
Cow's, Niagara-on-the-Lake
Niagara-on-the-Lake Park
Niagara Falls

I recommend: Inniskillin Vidal ice wine, Angel Inn's Bangers and Mash, Cow's Wowie Cowie and Strawberry, getting your photos taken on the rocks with Lake Ontario in the background, seeing Niagara Falls

Toronto: Heights & Hogwarts

The CN Tower
Archeo, Distillery District
Distillery District
University of Toronto
Hart House, University of Toronto
Robarts Library, University of Toronto
Nathan Phillips Square

I recommend: Seeing Toronto from an elevation of 553 metres at the CN Tower, Archeo's Lobster and Cauliflower risotto, walking through the Distillery District, visiting the University of Toronto's Hogwarts-esque buildings, skating at Nathan Phillips Square

To Jed & Jem, if you guys see this today: safe travels back to Calgary! See you again soon!
