I am a real sucker for a good sale, so when the post-holiday sales rolled around, naturally I couldn't resist! For some reason, they go on for quite a while after the holidays. I am pretty sure Aldo still has a ton of their shoes on markdown (caved and bought some shoes too, to be shown on another future post) and it's mid-February..... but hey, I'm not complaining!
I was planning to do a haul video because it's just much easier for me to show you everything in detail but I was just editing it and it's rubbish. :( I have yet to find a good place to film in my house so for the time being, please enjoy these photos. Not to worry, as I am sure many if not all of the clothing pieces and makeup items will be featured on the blog at some point. Let's get cracking then!
For clothes, I picked up a few things from H&M then did some online shopping at Forever21. *Tangent* I actually prefer shopping online for Forever21 because I get claustrophobic/overwhelmed whenever I step into one of their stores. Too many things! *End tangent* H&M is usually one of my favourite shops, but I haven't been too impressed with them over the last 6 months. So when I decided to stop by to check out their sale items, I was really pleased with what I found! H&M has got its game back. I bought 3 items from them - a chunky pink sequined cardigan (which was a whopping $15 reduced from $69.95), a studs and links choker/necklace ($9.95), and an off-white/powder blue sleeveless collared top with floral embroidery ($34.95).
Then from Forever21 I bought some basic tanks in nude (surprisingly hard to find) and peach for $3.80 each, a pink-peach chiffon top with lil flamingos on it, a black sleeveless top with a collar decked out in sequins and beads, and a lovely sheer turquoise crop top with gorgeous embroidery and beading ($9 from $39.95). I'm really excited about everything I've picked out and I'm ready for spring to come now! I didn't want to go on too much about each item since I am planning on including them in future outfit posts. Keep a lookout for those!
Now for makeup, Shoppers had a lot of good sales going on for a few weeks. For one day they did a 20% off event for students, and then they did a series of Buy One Get One Free events on lipsticks and lipglosses, nail polishes, and vitamins. As you can see, I definitely took advantage of said sales.
Here is everything I picked up:
- Loreal Colour Riche in Fairest Nude
- Loreal Colour Caresse by Colour Riche in Rose Taffeta
- Loreal Colour Riche Made for Me Naturals in Taffeta
- Revlon Colorstay foundation for Combination/Oily skin
- Revlon Nearly Naked foundation
- Rimmel Stay Matte translucent powder
- Revlon Grow Luscious mascara
- Sally Hansen Insta-Dri topcoat
- Rimmel Stay Glossy lipgloss in Non-Stop Glamour
- Revlon Colorburst lipgloss in Pink Ice
- Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch concealer
I'll be avoiding the shops for a little while after this massive haul! But I don't mind - I think I've satisfied my shopping urges for the time being. I am so excited to try all these makeup products and like I've already said, they will slowly but surely make their way onto the blog. The new clothes will also certainly be in future outfit posts! :)
That is all for now. Sorry for the lack of blog posts lately, I've been super busy with school and other activities, but hopefully I will be able to blog a lot more in the next week because I am on reading week at the moment, which if you do not know is a break from uni equivalent to spring break (except it is not spring yet). Bye now!
