Love for L'occitane!

While I was over at Blue Mountain for the holidays, I dropped by the L'occitane store because I noticed that they still had their boxing week sales going on and their products have always intrigued me online. If you have never heard of L'occitane it is a French skincare and bodycare brand that is most popular for their hand creams. As with anything French (haha) they are on the pricier side so try to take advantage whenever they have their sales. I've been loving the shea hand cream I have from them because it is incredibly thick, rich, and creamy and therefore incredibly moisturizing especially for the winter months when my hands can get really dry. So I intended to go in just to check if they had some mini sized hand creams on sale, but clearly left with so much more.

My lovely mother picked up the first thing for me - their Green Tea eau de toilette. I have an intense love for all things green tea-flavoured (with the exception of actual straight up green tea, oddly enough) and so does my mom, but fragrances in particular get me so nostalgic. When I was younger, my mom used to wear Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea as her signature scent and I loved it! I remember just taking sniffs of the bottle after she would spray it on because I was still too young at the time to be wearing perfume. I've been on a bit of a perfume kick recently. I've been making a list of ones that I want to own but because perfumes are generally pretty pricey that has been the extent of my preoccupation with them, for now. I do have a few bottles of random EDTs and EDPs lying around but I'm happy to have this as my first proper fragrance. Ouuu this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship with fragrances! :) This is about $50 regular price, but I got it for sale for (I believe) somewhere close to $30.

I did get some hand creams, which is originally what I went in for, so I am really happy about that. Like I mentioned earlier, their hand creams are so amazing and luxurious and definitely moisturizing. I love the packaging of these - they come in very cute toothpaste-looking tubes with a screw cap rather than traditional boring bottles. And I really like these mini sized ones because they are the perfect size for handbags or traveling. This set of 3 hand creams was in the sale because it does have their holiday scents in it. I actually prefer these scents to any of their permanent ones (although their permanent ones are still lovely!) and wish they were available all year round. I find that both holiday scents - Marvellous Flowers and Magical Leaves - are really refreshing and young, but still subdued. The third set this comes with is their most popular 20% shea formula hand cream, which is the one I currently own and enjoy. My brother says it smells like baby wipes, but I do kind of like that smell.... :S Haha! I call this my "fancy" hand cream because it is pretty darn expensive at regularly $12 each, especially when you compare it to a Vaseline hand cream from the drugstore, but I do think it's worth it when you factor everything in. Because they were in the sale, I got the set for $28 when it was originally $36.

Lastly, I bought 3 travel size shower gels because not only were they on sale price but they were also buy 2 get 1 free. I chose Magical Leaves (matches the hand cream!), Green Tea (obviously), and Cherry Princess, all of which smell incredibly good! I just thought these would be good to have for traveling and when I go to the gym and decide I want to shower there. I can't quite remember the price of these anymore and I can't find them on their website but I didn't get them for too expensive.

I'm a massive fan of all these products and do highly recommend them! :) They're so high quality and luxurious and let me tell you, this brand does some of the most amazing scents ever. Normally with brands, I'll maybe like one out their entire range, but L'occitane just gets me. I like scents that are either fruity, slightly floral (nothing too rosey), fresh, musky, sweet but not overly, or clean and I tend not to like anything too strong or heavy. This brand is all about the scents I like. Lots of love for L'occitane from this girl!!!
